ERP Test Analyst - London

This is an excellent opportunity for a tester with a technical background or in-depth knowledge of testing Web/e-commerce applications using ERP stock control and reporting to further their career with a rapidly growing and past paced organisation where testing is a key and integral part of the software delivery lifecycle.

As part of the technology team working within the ERP department at, the ERP Automation Test Analyst's role is to define, create and execute tests from the analysis of both functional and non-functional requirements, producing automated test scripts, test materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services in the ERP application.

Key Responsibilities

-Defining test scenarios, cases and test data.
-Recording and analysing actions and results, and maintaining a defect register. Reviewing test results and modifying tests if necessary.
-Providing reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues.
-Design and document, automated and manual test cases and scripts.
-Collaborate with the development team to build and maintain a strong and robust automated test suite.
-Execute and maintain automated and manual tests.
-Participate in functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing.
-Produce accurate defect reports as required.
-Track and manage defect reports to closure.
-Build constructive working relationships with all business areas
-Consider business priorities and risks in all testing activities
-Identify & suggest areas of test improvement.
-To develop domain knowledge along with an increasing appreciation of the associated business needs and requirements.
-Where required, to undertake additional test tasks, or other related activities to support the technical delivery team.

Skills and Personal Qualities


-Substantial previous testing experience
-Experience working with and testing web based technologies
-Ability to interrogate databases using SQL.
-Ability to demonstrate an understanding of HTML / JavaScript and CSS
-Ability to write unaided automated test cases preferably using Selenium WebDriver
-Ability to seek out required information which may be undocumented.
-Ability to actively participate in and contribute to requirement discussions and support the writing of acceptance criteria.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
-Ability to demonstrate an understanding of relational databases
-Ability to work on a self-sufficient basis.
-Ability to learn a system from 'hands on' use.
-Ability to work within a fast paced agile environment reacting quickly to change.
-Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the test life cycle.
-Have a real passion and enthusiasm for IT.

Highly Desirable

-Hands on experience using ERP stock management control system
-Degree or HND in an IT discipline
-ISEB accreditation in Software Testing
-Experience of agile delivery practices/methodologies.
-Technical Environment
-Experience of the following key technologies is highly desirable:
-Open ERP
-Apache JMeter
-Jenkins CI
-Magento ecommerce software platform
