Our client

On behalf of our prestigious Client we are looking to recruit a EMEA Regional Space Planning Manager.


- To provide initial space planning layouts setting the standard/template for further layout design development on all major projects in EMEA including:
- the planning of office environments, trading floors, and other areas
- the planning of CWS space
- ensuring compliance with One LOOK One Feel design parameters as related to furniture type and design

- To oversee implementation of the Global Space Standards on all relevant project types including compliance of components eg office sizes and workstation sizes with these standards
- To act as the EMEA Space Planning Lead
- To participate in developing , formalising and disseminating new space standards and solutions to reduce space occupancy and drive efficient use of space and thereby reduce real estate costs
- To interface with Global Design and Planning team on all related matters including furniture design and configurations
- To interface with business project leads to further the acceptance and buy in of global space standards
- To vet space layouts design from the regional country teams
- To assist local Facility Country Heads in space optimisation exercises including interfacing with the business project leads.
- To direct local in country space planners (FTE/Non FTE) on best practice and standards
- Develop an understanding of local workplace regulations across EMEA as required
- To own and develop EMEA Space Standards Document
- To carry out regular reviews of space planning practice in EMEA to further best practice in EMEA
- To keep up to date on furniture design and alternative work place strategies


- Must have experience of space planning (minimum 3 years) , preferably within a large financial institution / firm or a facility management company / consultant company
- Architectural /Interior design qualification preferably to degree level
- Knowledge of various office / trading furniture systems
- Knowledge of various partitioning systems
- Knowledge of office construction methods
- Knowledge of best practice in space planning and alternative workplace strategies
- Experience of using an FM system (Archibus / Aperture or similar) in conjunction with direct charging of space would be desirable
- Must be fully conversant with AutoCAD release 2002 / 2004
- Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint desirable
- Strong leadership & people management skills
- Knowledge and understanding of customer service quality principles
- Excellent communications, both written and verbal with an emphasis on the ability to relate to staff, peers and senior management in a relaxed, professional manner
- Good organisation and forward planning skills
