Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2MHill offer a broad range of sustainability services mainly delivering to organizations involved in the delivery of infrastructure including transport, power and water. We consult over a range of delivery stages from development of organizational strategies to the detailed design and delivery of projects. We are seeking applicants with EIA skills and experience to support an existing team of consultants in our Glasgow office.

•Manage EIAs in Scotland particularly in the road and power sector.
•Be a point of contact for clients and work with them to achieve the best outcomes.
•Lead stakeholder engagement with consultees for EIAs.
•Manage a diverse team from a number of locations to produce high quality Environmental Statements.
•Mentor junior members of staff.
•Undertake business development when/if required. Undertake project management.
•Work with the wider Environmental Services team.
It is essential that the candidate has:
•Relevant environmental qualifications educated to degree or masters level and ideally a full member of IEMA, or equivalent;
•Proven environmental consulting, or regulatory experience;
•Experience and capability in development of EIA co-ordination;
•Extensive knowledge of EIA legislation and other relevant environmental legislation and consenting procedure;
•Track record of managing the production of successful Environmental Statements through the consenting process;
•Experience of stakeholder liaison and engagement;
•Experience of Transport (especially highways) and/ or Power sector EIAs,
•Project management experience;
•Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and ability to write concise and effective proposals and technical reports;
•Reliability and an interest in growing own skills and taking on additional responsibilities;
•Eligibility to work in UK.
•Ideally the candidate will also have:
•Experience of Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment;
•Experience of Appropriate Assessments and the Habitats Regulations.
Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
