CREDIT AND COLLECTION MANAGER

Credit & Collection Manager position is available for experienced professionals at our multinational partner, who is expanding the Shared Service Center in Budapest. We are looking for ambitious candidates who are ready to take the next step in their career. The role holder will be responsible for manage and lead collection and consolidation of customer payments against booked orders and issued invoices. In addition to that the role holder will have people management tasks, and run process improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle full scale people management tasks, second line people management
  • Manage the daily/weekly call schedules
  • Lead customer invoice and payment reconciliation against booked orders and issued invoices
  • Communicate directly with customers to ensure timely payments
  • Ensure that customer master date is kept up-to-date
  • Maintain KPIs and reporting on efficiencies
  • Work with sales teams in markets to develop customer relations and ensure smooth payment process
  • Ensure all customer disputes managed with the markets to maintain relations where possible
  • Provide information and work with markets on legal actions
  • Work with cash application team on customer payment issues
  • Monitor reconciliation of all customer accounts
  • Ad-hoc tasks

Requirements:

  • University or college degree in Finance or Economics
  • At least 5 years of experience in O2C role is a must and at least 3 years in a team leader position
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and previous experience in managing team leaders, senior managers
  • Fluency in English
  • Participate in process optimization and continuous improvement  projects
  • Experience supporting and implementing strategic plans across a team
  • Relevant previous experience in a leadership and supporting continuous improvement position with similar accountabilities
  • Experience in leading and managing cross functional teams, preferably in a shared services operation
  • Flexible regarding travelling
