As a result of
the team's current activity levels and future anticipated level of deal flow, we
are now seeking to recruit a new team member at the Senior Associate
This role
would represent an exceptional opportunity to join one of the UK's market
leading corporate finance practices and assist in growing its regional
footprint. It's a chance to move into corporate finance advisory, and to gain
immediate exposure to lead advisory transaction activity within a strong team of
experienced advisors at PwC.
The ideal individual
will be able to demonstrate a sustained level of high performance within their
current role and strong academic track record.
We would expect the
individual to have strong communication, interpersonal and numerical skills, and
a relevant professional qualification in accountancy, finance or
banking. Candidates will be required to show a high degree of commercial
awareness, and a good working knowledge of the regional corporate landscape in
Scotland will be seen as an advantage. PwC will

About the role
As a Senior
Associate within the PwC Scotland corporate finance team, the individual would
expect to be involved in the following types of work:
• Financial modelling and analysis of transactions • Performing company valuations, returns analysis • Preparation of client presentations and pitch documents • Industry and company specific research • Day to day project work on live transactions (e.g. drafting information memoranda, contacting potential purchasers, and liaising with clients, lawyers, due diligence providers) • Business development activities including identification and targeting of potential opportunities, and developing a strong personal network of contacts
The base
office will be Glasgow, with travel to client sites as required.

We would expect
interested applicants to be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
• CA or ACA exam qualified (or a similar and relevant professional qualification) • 2:1 or above university degree or equivalent strong international qualification • Strong analytical skills and an ability to think laterally • Ability to grasp complex commercial issues quickly • Strong attention to detail with an ability to also see the big picture • Commercial curiosity and demonstrable interest in Corporate Finance matters • High level of MS Excel proficiency, and good level of proficiency in MS Powerpoint and Word • High ambition coupled with the ability to deliver and to work effectively in teams • Good commercial judgement and independence of mind • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence when interacting with others • Energy and enthusiasm • Ability to work accurately under time pressure and manage multiple commitments • Willingness to participate in marketing and business development
