The Insurance sector within Consulting at PwC advises leading financial services organisations. Our engagements incorporate a broad range of delivery capability across the full delivery lifecycle, including strategy definition, market assessment, operating model design, process reengineering, through to complex change programmes and implementation.
These engagements span the full value chain, covering sales channels, middle office and core operations within insurers and reinsurers.
We are able to deploy multi-disciplinary teams that utilise proven methods and tools in combination with deep Insurance expertise.
We have a number of roles available in our rapidly growing practice. We are seeking individuals at Consultant/ Manager grade, based in London.
About the roleWe provide a full suite of consulting services that assist our insurance clients against significant business challenges. This role is critical in bringing these services to our clients in a structured and integrated manner, allowing us to assess, design and deliver operational change. Challenges include, but are not limited to: new product and proposition development to meet a changing customer need; channel optimisation and responding to channel choice; maximising the value of claims management; minimising fraud and resolving disputes; effective market reporting; integrating and embedding risk and capital management; responding to and meeting changing regulatory demands; and strategically managing cost, including maximising organisational alignment, outsourcing, 3rd party service provision, process efficiency.
These services are delivered across:
• The entire insurance value chain, incorporating an insurer's business model and operating model (consisting of processes, organisation, technology, information and people) • All insurance lines of business (life, pensions, property, casualty etc.) • The customer lifecycle, maximising the customer experience

· Degree educated or equivalent
· Proven experience of building sustainable client relationships within Insurance organisations
· Experience of interpreting clients' strategic, operational and external drivers for change, gaining respect, building trust and inspiring clients by anticipating their needs and exceeding expectations within the Insurance industry
· Experience of generating a vision, establishing direction and motivating people to focus efforts and build commitment towards achieving business goals
· Experience of developing and maintaining deep client relationships at the highest levels of an organisation and to be recognised and respected by the client and colleagues as a knowledgeable, valued technical professional
· Proven experience of being a highly effective developer of people by making time to coach, mentor and develop others
Relevant experience:
· Possesses strong Insurance experience
· Has an understanding of the current issues and challenges across the Insurance market and how they impact our clients
· Experience working within large, complex projects and teams
· Experience of supervising and developing junior team members
Additional Information:
· Need to travel/overnight stays away from home? (Yes - regularly)
