Consulting - Digital - Senior User Experience Designer - Senior ConsultantReference CON01246Location LondonService ConsultingSpecialism Consulting - OperationsIndustry Who we are looking for
PwC is the leading global professional services firm and acclaimed as one of the world's leading employers. We offer diverse and rewarding experiences for our people: through the variety of clients we engage with and projects we deliver; the calibre of our teams; and the exceptional training and career development opportunities we provide.
As organisations increasingly seek to respond to the challenges of operating in the digital age, PwC provides independent advice and extensive capability to help our clients deal with the impact of digital disruption on traditional ways of doing business. Our distinctive insight is that organisations don't need a digital strategy, but a business strategy for the digital age, as digital impacts every aspect of the organisation.
The real imperative for our clients now is to become 'digitally fit', in order to survive and thrive in the modern digital economy. For PwC, this means that we take a holistic view of the digital threat and opportunity: we help our clients understand its impact on their markets and customers; define their strategy; evolve their existing capabilities; create new opportunities; accelerate delivery; and build digital trust in their brand.
A key strength of PwC is our ability to operate as one firm across multiple disciplines: we bring expertise in consulting, strategy & economics, assurance, risk, tax, business recovery and corporate finance to help our clients respond to digital disruption. Within consulting, we strive to become trusted advisers, combining industry insight, functional expertise and practical experience to help our clients achieve measurable, positive, and sustainable business outcomes.
To develop our digital capability at PwC, we are looking for people who enjoy the excitement of shaping new ideas and working as part of multi-disciplinary teams on complex challenges, where each project is likely to be different to the last. We are looking for candidates with the passion and commitment, intellect and experience that can enable our clients' success in the intensely competitive economic environment of the digital age.
About the role
Our Senior User Experience Designers are experts in developing compelling, visual user experiences across digital assets on behalf of our clients. They work with project teams to visualise the digital propositions and strategies that we develop with our clients. They will normally fall under the creative direction of our Head of User Experience Design, or our Digital Experience Designers, but may also work directly with project teams.
Their objective is to create user experience designs that align great design thinking with our clients' brand attributes to successfully engage their customers, thereby helping our clients achieve their strategic business goals. As a part of our Rapid Visualisation and Prototyping team, our Senior User Experience Designers collaborate and work closely with our Head of UX Design and other members of the team to rapidly translate digital concepts into hi-fidelity visual outputs and interactive prototypes.
They bring together insight into user behaviour with deep expertise in information architecture, interaction design, content design, information design, and visual design. They take great pains to consider how information can best be presented in an easy-to-consume way and obsess about the details required to make each interaction simpler and smoother. They are comfortable capturing multi-disciplinary requirements in workshops with clients and users, and translating those requirements into the production of user experiences, prototypes and final assets with in-house or agency staff.
Our Senior User Experience Designers put the customer or user at the centre of everything they do and are comfortable challenging our clients and their teams to do the same. They are natural problem solvers, driven to understand customers' needs and motivations, and excited by finding compelling ways to meet them. They are also passionate about communicating these needs in a way that helps our clients understand why they are important. They know that design is iterative and that getting to the right answer is a collaborative process that requires rounds of refinement and experimentation with users and clients. Most importantly, they are talented designers that are motivated by building great experiences articulated through simple, elegant solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in helping global brands or new businesses develop and deliver the user experience of digital products. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will be:
1. A senior user experience specialist with deep knowledge in the area of user experience design, including information architecture, interaction design, information design, content strategy and visual design;

6. Skilled at quickly developing initial compositions and turning them into storyboards and wireframes that facilitate the communication and creation of user centred products;
7. Adept at identifying best practice approaches in deploying prototypes (online and offline through HTML wrappers) to clients and managing user-testing groups in a physical setting or through digital techniques;
8. Able to provide creative and technical direction to teams designing and developing new experiences or propositions for private or public sector organisations;
9. A confident communicator, with strong presentation, verbal and written skills; strong visual presentation skills required;
