Working within the Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Team, the post holder will contribute towards the reliable maintenance and operation of the Process Control systems and equipment used as part of the power station.

Compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements

Support, contribute to and maintain the health, safety and welfare of self and others.

Day to Day responsibilites for the station automatic control systems.

Reviews of equipment obsolescence risk

Development of maintenance strategies

Preparation of business case justifications for project work.



Management and delivery of all engineering projects



Technical contract management, including management of contractors



Identification and delivery of outage continuous improvement activities



The development of staff in line with the company succession plans and the CFP process.



The direct supervision of multi-skilled craft technicians where appropriate.



Critical:

Electrical/Electronic Engineering HNC qualification or equivalent

Proven experience in the maintenance of electrical, control and instrumentation systems within a heavy engineering environment.

Experienced in managing contracts, including negotiation, to deliver significant medium value project works

Competent in budget management, including planning
