At PwC, our Capital Project Services
(CPS) team primarily consists of Engineers with a wide range of infrastructure
related backgrounds from industry. Our team is currently expanding and we're
seeking talented, high performing, industry professionals to join our Oil &Gas; team in Aberdeen.
implementers of major capital projects face risk throughout the course of their
business and that's where we come in. Our CPS team advises clients on the
business issues relating to the delivery of capital projects, provides project
and programme management solutions and we'll also provide dispute advisory
services for projects that have failed. In addition, the breadth of experience
in our team allows us to transfer and apply our project management skills on
non-capital projects by providing project management solutions.

Who We Are Looking For
As a Chartered or near Chartered
Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager, Risk Manager, you'll have a
background in project management covering the technical, financial and
commercial aspects of contracts. You'll also have experience in the design or
implementation of large, complex projects.
As well as
good practical work experience within the Oil & Gas sector, ideally gained
within a large contractor, consultancy or client organisation, you'll have
working knowledge/experience of:
• Consulting with clients in a capital projects environment • Project management experience • Construction methods/techniques • Design management and co-ordination • Estimating and financial management (preparing cost and value reports, cost forecasts, etc) • Contractual arrangements • Approaches for the valuation and assessment of claims • Experience of using critical path planning software (Primavera P6 or MS Project) • Excellent IT skills
experience which would be very relevant includes:
• Advising clients on risks relating to capital projects • Providing assurance to stakeholders on capital projects • Knowledge of contract law
The role also requires significant flexibility and mobility, with national and
international travel frequently required.
If you're successful you'll work in
multi-disciplinary teams undertaking client work which includes for example:
• Managing and delivering assignments • Working as part of a team or independently depending on the size of the assignment • Developing client relationships • Face-to-face contact with clients and their professional advisors
