Up-selling products for a prestigious British brand, the Call Centre Sales role is a full-time role on a shift basis, your customers will be worldwide and you'll be the voice of British Airways.

Our Sales team in Newcastle handle a diverse and extensive range of calls from any customer around the world, whether this is a loyalty customer, business traveller, a family booking their yearly holiday or a parent booking an unaccompanied child visiting friends and family - the list is never ending.

It's a full-time Call Centre Sales role on a shift basis. Taking inbound calls you will be making product and service recommendations that suit customer's needs, taste and budget, and using up-sell techniques to achieve and exceed challenging revenue targets in flights, hotels and car hire. It's down to our Call Centre Sales to really dig deep and understand each individual requirement, match this and then close the sale. The Call Centre Sales work as individuals and also as a team - every sale brings them and the business closer to hitting targets.

Each Call Centre Sales has targets' to achieve on a monthly basis. With each call being different, one minute you can be booking a £50 one way ticket from Newcastle to London, then on your next call a £50,000 holiday package to Barbados or a loyalty member redeeming 100,000 Avios points to travel to San Francisco in our Club World cabin.

There is always a buzz around the department and the more you put in the more positive results you will see. We pride ourselves on giving our agents the autonomy and support to take ownership of the decisions they make to best serve our customers. We don't follow rigid scripts but empower our agents to use their knowledge and customer service skills to find the best solution for the customer.

We are seeking self-motivated individuals to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a passion to put the customer at the heart of everything that they do. There is a lot to learn about our products and systems, but that is what makes it so interesting.

To join us as Call Centre Sales, you'll need proven experience of providing excellent customer service, either face to face or on the phone and show you can up-sell products effectively.

Great problem solving skills and a genuine interest in travel are essential too, as we'll expect you to acquire knowledge of all sorts of destinations and possibilities. We use a number of systems and our product range is vast, so you will need to feel comfortable learning our systems, which are vital to us helping our customers.

We do work shifts. The Contact Centre is currently open 365 days a year between 7:30am - 10:00pm. Working pattern will consist of 7.5 hours a day, 5 days a week covering Monday - Sunday.
