PwC is looking for an experienced, creative executive level candidate to join the buyer programmes team within its client & market development (CMD) function.
This team manages marketing programmes that are aimed at specific groups of key buyers of PwC services, such as Chairman, CEO's, CFOs and Heads of M&A.; This role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the buyer programme for the Business Recovery Services practice.
It will be a great opportunity to build on and develop marketing skills across multiple channels and work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders including online, events, PR and thought leadership.
The job holder must have a good attention to detail and possess strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to create impact with stakeholders as well as demonstrate a good understanding of the strategic business drivers for PwC.
Good project management skills are required and a proven track record in marketing programme delivery.
About the role
CMD is a centralised support function and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development. The prime area of focus for the function is to support the development and implementation of the firm's market strategy and in particular to deliver:
• Revenue growth. • Enhanced relationships and networks. • A distinctive brand experience
The PwC strategy is designed to provide a sharper focus on market issues in order to prioritise growth opportunities and align our resources to deliver them. Our plan is to obtain transformational growth of our consulting market share and to extend our lead in our core businesses of audit, tax, business recovery services and transactions.
This role will be responsible for implementing and co-ordinating elements of the buyer programme for the Business Recovery Services practice (BRS) which forms part of the marketing & business development group responsible for presenting PwC's image with quality and consistency.
BRS has around 970 staff in 24 offices and is the UK's largest business recovery services practice, providing advisory services to lenders, creditors, companies and individuals in troubled financial situations. We work with colleagues across the entire breadth and depth of the firm, from tax and assurance to advisory, ensuring we can provide companies with the specialist situational knowledge they need to make the right the right decisions.
The job holder will report to a senior manager /manager in buyer programmes.
In this role, the successful candidate will:
• Implement and co-ordinates the delivery of existing and new marketing activity which includes events programmes, communications, website maintenance & business recovery related thought leadership. • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external suppliers including the events team, design and media, communications, online presence etc. • Monitor short- and long-term ROI measures specific buyer programmes and report these back to the teams. • Proactively seek new channels to market and innovate to engage with buyer communities in different ways. • Adhere to quality standards throughout and ensures service levels are maintained consistently. • Work closely with senior managers, managers and key practice stakeholders to execute marketing programmes in line with timeframes and budget. • Work with other parts of CMD - especially market campaigns, thought leadership, opportunity management and the wider communication team. • Suggest ways that the buyer programmes are continuously improved and experience, information and knowledge are shared.
The following skills are required for this role:
• Graduate calibre with experience of B2B marketing and business development. • Experience of implementing a marketing strategy matched to commercial objectives. • Good knowledge of new and traditional marketing channels; experience of social media and digital marketing required. • Experience of being able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. • The ability to contribute to strategic plans and implement tactical initiatives. • Creative and innovative approach. • Proactive with a positive 'can do' approach and the confidence to advise the business on marketing matters. • Self starter able to work effectively as part of a team. • Sufficient business acumen to understand business drivers behind marketing activity as well as being commercially and risk aware. • Experience of writing copy for marketing literature and online campaigns. • Knowledge of professional services and/or business recovery an advantage.
