An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of an Established Part Time (18.5 hours) Business Support Administrator Level 3 (Band 6) within the Business Support Team located within the Adult Learning and Skills Service, Craven.
We require a motivated administrator with excellent communication and customer care skills suitable for dealing with a full range of service users. You will undertake a wide range of administrative duties and as a front line staff member, you will deal with the public and provide advice on enrolment procedures to learners, provide a reception service, during the day and on occasions in the evening, to the various adult education centres as necessary to support the work of the Adult Learning Service.
You will need to be a conscientious, well-organised person able to prioritise your own workload, with the ability to work unsupervised and be flexible in your approach. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential as well as the ability to work as a member of a team. You must have proven word processing skills/experience and be competent in using other Microsoft packages including Excel. You will deal with routine telephone calls, e-mails and correspondence and be responsible for inputting data into the service management information system to ensure relevant statutory, corporate and service deadlines are met for all areas of work including official returns. You will offer support and guidance to teachers and other delivery staff as required and will disseminate information to teachers and other adult learning staff.
You must respect the need for confidentiality of personal information and have knowledge of Data Protection, Equalities and Health and Safety requirements of working within an office environment. You must also be able to travel to different Adult Learning Centres within the area to assist with cover arrangements within the service and for training purposes.
You will benefit from a supportive management structure, on-going personal development and performance management. Training will be given to the appointed person.
