PwC is looking for an experienced, credible and highly motivated manager level candidate to join the Opportunity Management (OM) team in the Client and Market Development (CMD) Function to support the Real Estate Leader of Industry and business. This role will also work across into the market campaigns team to ensure effectiveness & best practice across the firm's marketing campaigns.
The business development (opportunity management) team focus on business development, opportunity management and ensuring sales effectiveness & best practice across the firm's opportunities (excluding proposals). The team focuses on ensuring that these business development activities deliver return on investment and revenue conversion.
The role will require excellent influencing and powerful communication skills in order to be credible and to be able to challenge the Real Estate leader of industry and senior management. A vital part of the role is a thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers for PwC, the Real Estate sector and our clients.
The candidate must be creative and innovative using all the marketing and business development channels available to effectively communicate key business messages to a diverse audience.
Excellent project management skills are required as is a proven track record in delivering effective marketing campaigns, sales effectiveness, client relationship management and opportunity management within a complex organisation.
The jobholder will report to the CMD leadership team via the Strategic Director Industries and be part of the pursuit capability.
The jobholder will report to Real Estate leader of industry on day to day delivery of role.
CMD is a centralised support function and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development. The prime area of focus for the function is to support the development and implementation of the firm's market strategy and in particular to deliver:
• Revenue growth
• Enhanced relationships and networks
• A distinctive brand experience

Our plan is to obtain transformational growth of our consulting market share and to extend our lead in our core businesses of audit, tax and deals.
About the role
In this role, the successful candidate will work with their key stakeholders to drive market campaign and business development activities.
This role will be responsible for:
• Acting as the business development and marketing point of contact for Real Estate.
• Providing management of business development and market campaigns across multiple channels
• Providing expert advice on the most appropriate approach, content and channel mix and strives to uphold our quality and brand standards.
• Provide project management and ensure delivery of key industry campaigns including Emerging Trends in Real Estate.
• Establishing and implementing a business development strategy, structure and processes (including leveraging business development knowledge and best practices from across the firm).
• Driving pipeline and lead the pursuit process for all major opportunities, including contribution to pipeline where appropriate
• Managing and attending client, prospect and/or intermediary events and ensure effective follow up on these events
• Monitoring short and long-term ROI measures and taking responsibility for delivery and evaluation of ROI on specific campaigns.
• Coach Partners and staff on business development and opportunity/pursuit management.
• Proactively seeking new channels to market and innovates to engage with our audience in different ways in particular through digital channels.
• Working effectively with other parts of the business development, marketing, and communications areas, especially the Opportunity Management, Buyer Programmes, Thought Leadership, Event Management and Media Relations teams and ensures activity is properly targeted, driven and delivers return on investment.
• Bringing curiosity and challenge so that business development and marketing campaigns are continuously improved and experience, information and knowledge are shared.
• Ensuring the messages and learnings from Client Feedback are shared and acted upon to help increase opportunity conversion and client satisfaction.
• Global and Central Cluster - to the extent agreed with UK Real Estate leadership, contribute to and ensure that global and central cluster materials or activities which are of benefit to the UK firm revenues are created and leveraged.
• Proven track record in the delivery of large scale B2B multi-channel marketing campaigns and in business development, sales and client relationship management ideally within a professional services environment or Real Estate sector.
• Experience of providing business development and marketing and support to senior executives.
• The proven ability to drive and develop pipeline opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of Velocity, SPIN, Miller Heiman or another relationship/sales methodology and proven experience in driving opportunities through to revenue.
• The ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives across marketing, sales and business development.
• An expert understanding of marketing programmes and channel management.
• Strong knowledge of new and traditional marketing channels; experience of digital marketing would be an advantage.
• Creative and innovative approach.
• Proactive with a positive 'can do' approach.
• A sound business understanding as well as being commercially and risk aware.
• Client focused with strong relationship skills.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
• Self starter able to work effectively as part of a 'virtual team'.
• A team player. Able to actively contribute & participate as a member of the CMD function.
• The ability to form networks with Partners & staff at all levels and influence effectively.
