Business Continuity Management Specialist

Our Client is one of the leading global financial services company and does business in more than 100 countries. It provides a broad range of services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage and wealth management.

Job description

  • Quality review of the business continuity plans to further develop consistency and full resiliency

  • Coordinate tests (functional, denial-of-access) and ensure compliance adherence for organization

  • Maintain a crisis management plan for senior management

  • Leverage partnership and alliances with business clients, directs, project managers, developers, technology infrastructure personnel, business continuity personnel and global compliance channel peers

  • Perform compliance related requirements and ensure corrective action plans are closed within required timeframes

  • Ensure that application technology business continuity processes are in accordance with internal policies and standards, and that regulatory expectations for control, monitoring and reporting of risk are satisfied

  • Assist in taking steps to reduce risk to an acceptable level

  • Streamline processes in line with policies and work with managers within the unit to implement improvements and resolve gaps from policy

  • Internal audit support, central contact point during audits

  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support, compliance assurance and communications services for Policies and Standards
  • Requirements

  • 4-5 years project/ program management and/ or compliance experience

  • Strong experience in business continuity and audit/compliance/controls

  • Strong technology background/ production support experience (advantage)

  • Experience in working with senior and chief level management

  • Higher degree

  • Advantages: certifications in project management methodologies or Business Continuity

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Strong data manipulation and presentation skills (MS Excel, Word, Visio, Access, PowerPoint)

  • Very strong written/ verbal communication and listening skills in English

  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong time and project management skills

  • Advantage: technology background, production support experience
