The Business Recovery Services (BRS) team operates across all segments of the market providing advisory services to lenders, creditors, companies, the public sector and individuals in troubled financial situations, ranging from financial stress through distress and to insolvency. With around 970 staff in 24 offices, PwC has the UK's largest business recovery services (BRS) practice, providing advisory services to lenders, creditors, companies and individuals in troubled financial situations.
With increased stress in the European financial services sector our BRS practice is encountering a number of situations, both in its role as appointment taker and as advisor, where we are overseeing or advising on the run down of banking assets.
We are now looking to recruit a Senior Manager to join our financial services restructuring team, and can offer experience across a wide variety of engagements with significant opportunities for self development. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic and fast growing team.
About the role
We have a need for an experienced Senior Manager to join the team in London.
• Oversee engagement personnel and lead engagements on financial services clients in the area of mortgage loan servicing and originations. • Advise clients on best practices and performance improvement opportunities in origination and collections / recoveries functions including underwriting, processing, closing, loan documentation and security, loan on boarding, collections, loss mitigation / forbearance alternatives and repossession processes and short sales • Interact and present findings to senior business leaders including the CEO, CRO, head of collections as well as senior representatives from regulatory agencies • Develop strategic and tactical recommendations based upon an understanding of loan accounting rules, policies, and procedures as compared to industry practices • Identify and communicate technical and strategic matters to both clients and upper management • Develop marketing plans and sales strategies and sell to new and existing clients
• Demonstrable related work experience in a financial services company or big 4 / strategy consulting firm; • Prior direct oversight responsibility for servicing activities including forbearance, collection and recovery, for internal or external service providers • Demonstrated supervisory experience • Familiarity with loan loss reserving, and credit analytics • Proven ability and experience in leveraging technology and automation • Skilled in default technology, scoring models, integrated telephony systems, predictive dialer environments • Well established understanding of UK regulations • Experience in writing reports and policies and procedures documents • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business related subject • Willingness to travel • Established network of industry contacts and sales experience
