We are strengthening our Financial Services risk & regulation practice as our clients across Banking & Capital Markets continue to face significant shifts in the regulatory environment.

Our expertise is brought together in our Financial Services Risk and Regulation team made up of over 50 partners and 800 professional staff covering the following areas of expertise:

• Risk analytics and Prudential reporting;
• Conduct, culture and the customer;
• Operational resilience;
• Redress and remediation.
About the role
Operational resilience is at the heart of what we do in Financial Services Risk and Regulation. We help our clients to manage and design everything from governance and controls to systems and data processes. And this makes sure our clients can provide transparent assurance to their stakeholders that they are doing the right thing.
Business Resilience - Enterprise Risk Frameworks
We are specifically looking for candidates to join our Business Resilience - Enterprise Risk Frameworks team.
The Banking and Capital Markets (B&CM;) Enterprise Risk Frameworks team work with our clients to identify areas where they can benefit from greater governance, control and risk frameworks. We support them in building and / or remediating their governance, control and risk frameworks across functions, for example operational risk frameworks and provide ongoing assurance that they are on the right track to promote informed risk-based decision-making and effective business planning on transformation projects. These services can be in the form of consulting advice, implementation support or review and recommend reports.
Manager Responsibilities:
• Managing a Banking and Capital Markets client portfolio reporting to the Partner/ Director Group
• Driving and delivering transformation initiatives
• Leading engagement teams of up to 10 staff
• Managing and building day-to-day client relationships across a complex network of stakeholders and management structures
• Managing staff and taking on coaching responsibilities
• Contributing to development of new business relationships and business proposals
The role will provide you with experience of working with major banking and capital market clients, where you can demonstrate your understanding of the cross functional, front to back governance and risk management framework.
Below are some of the types of work you could be involved in if you join Enterprise Risk Frameworks:
• Remediation of governance and control and risk frameworks at banks
• Provide assurance and/or advice on governance and risk frameworks to help capital markets clients (specifically banks) adapt to their changing/increasing operational risks
• Address lack of process and controls (ie Sox enhancement, RACA Front to Back operational risk and controls risk management)
Essential skills:
• Experience of working within capital markets organisations (specifically banks), with specific project experience in operational risk management, and governance and controls design, enhancement and review
• Leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully leading significant complex client engagements
• Exceptional client relationship, stakeholder management and inter-personal skills, with a proven track record of dealing and influencing senior stakeholders
• Strong commercial awareness, sound reporting skills and the ability to work under your own initiative
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (ie report writing)
• The ability to apply independent judgement during engagements and to support conclusions reached to senior level personnel both internally and externally
• Strong attention to detail
Desirable skills:
• An ability to work under pressure within an ambiguous environment
