Our South East Public Services
Assurance practice are looking to recruit a number of Senior Associates into
either the Reading or Cambridge offices.

Our South East Public Services
Assurance practice is a successful team that delivers internal and external
audit, accounting, IT Assurance, Project Assurance, risk management advice and
controls assurance across government and the wider public sector. We also
utilise our extensive knowledge of the sector to advise our clients on a range
of industry related issues, designed to assist them in addressing risks and
maximising value for money. The overall team comprises of 2 Partners and
63 professional staff.

PS South
East offers unrivalled opportunities and an exciting and varied client base in
an open and proactive working environment. As a senior associate you will also
be involved in:
• Provide an on-site co-ordination role for audit clients including planning, day to day control of the audit team. • liaising with clients and completing audit assignments • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and established clients • Work and liaise with other members of the audit team and colleagues in other parts of the firm as necessary. • To provide high quality client service • Have supervisory responsibility for teams of people • Coach and train other staff

needs. We focus development effort on your softer skills areas as well as
more technical knowledge and experience, enhancing your personal development as
you progress within the firm.
You will work in teams, varying in
size, reporting to an Audit Manager and Partner, typically supervising the
on-site work of teams of associates. Over a typical audit season you are
likely to work on several of our clients in different sectors. Over time you
may also have opportunities to work with our Corporate and Risk Assurance

hoc projects

We expect
you to have strong technical knowledge, be used to working to tight deadlines
and handling pressure, be a good all round team player and be able to
demonstrate the ability to build strong client relationships.Along with:
• Must be educated to degree level or similar • Must be ACA or similarly qualified • Have significant auditing experience • Experience working with frameworks such as UK GAAP and IFRS • Strong interest in working with Public Sector clients.
