Assistant Facilities Manager - London

Maintaining the quality of our store estate is an essential part of attracting customers into our business and ensuring that they have a comfortable and safe experience while there.

Working closely with the UK & Ireland Facilities Manager, the Assistant Facilities Manager will be responsible for delivering store maintenance (planned and reactive) and ensuring that the cleaning standards are met for TX Maxx and Homesense stores based in the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities will be -

Store Facilities Management
• To carryout regular store audit inspections to ensure agreed works are carried out within timescale and completed to agreed standards
• To build relationship with the Facilities Management provider and their Regional Teams
• To ensure that planned works within the region are completed to programme
• To ensure priority reactive calls are completed within agreed SLA's
• To ensure works being carried out within agreed budgets
• Influence store management teams to ensure that stores are educated in understanding the facilities agreed function.
• To attend regular meetings with District Managers and discuss any ongoing issues in stores and provide a suitable resolution back to Facilities Manager on a long term resolution
• To ensure that remedial works arising from compliance and insurance inspections are agreed and resolved and report back to Facilities Manager
• To undertake "on call" duties and provide assistance and escalation out of normal working

Project Management
• Overseeing minor capital refurbishments / replacement programmes. Work with internal stakeholder departments to discuss and plan resolutions to issues that may exist.
• Identify trends in Stores; investigate recurring issues, and make proposals to the Facilities Manager for approval to achieve resolution.
• Manage new store ventures, post construction. Liaise with Store Development and FM Provider to understand any on site environment issues and identify contingency plans to resolve any potential problems.

Key skills required -
• Proven experience with a multiple retailer
• Proven facilities management experience
• Strong team skills
• Working knowledge of statutory regulations (BIFM or alternative)
• Self-starter, initiative, strong accountability and determination to resolve
• Full Driving licence and passport (travel to Ireland and Scotland required)
• Relevant qualification preferred
