Senior Pricing Analyst
Scope of project:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position will analyze market trends, identify competitive pricing structures and further support management decisions in gaining greater local and international market share by the proposed new profit production opportunities.
Tasks:
- Sustain the achievement of company targets: revenue and profitability, by ensuring development and implementation of effective pricing structures and policies that observe the approved pricing strategy
- Lead the development and implementation of complex pricing techniques to extract more value
- Lead pricing policy in country, in close liaison with the product management team, the Sales & Marketing teams and the Finance team, and the international Pricing Team
- Conduction of reviews on current pricing strategies, the competition, the industry in general and the key product categories
- Analysis and anticipation of market trends to define new opportunities
- Analysis of key performance indicators to track value capture from revenue management activities.
- Analysis of all sales and promotions to assure the appropriate pricing and margins are maintained.
- Definition of appropriate prices lists and discounts based on analysis of market climate and competition, product life cycle and division strategy.
- Involvement in the refinement of pricing and revenue capture models that ensure the company is fairly compensated for all it provides
- Development, execution and management of special pricing programs that are required to react to specific market or competitive conditions
- Assistance in developing and implementing the new prices (Marketing, Finance, Sales...)
Requirements:
- Solid experience (ideal is 3-5 years) in value pricing, including price waterfall terminology, marketing and/or selling in a B2B industry, with distributor interfaces, and with direct customer interaction
- Solid experience in working with, interpreting and providing statistics
- Solid experience in Excel-based analysis
- Experience in the agriculture industry; preferably crop protection chemicals would be highly desirable
- College/University level degree
- Fluent and practical English language skills, both written and oral
