SENIOR COMPENSATION SPECIALIST
Dimension & Scope:

This position takes an active role in the development, installation and administration of domestic and/or global compensation programs for Convergys.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collects data and prepares responses to salary surveys to determine appropriate market value, analyzes market data and develops market composites.
  • Develops and implements salary administration guidelines for managerial, individual contributor, administrative, non-exempt jobs, and/or agent level positions.
  • Manages annual merit increase process for assigned internal clients by creating merit increase worksheets, establishing timelines, developing communications materials and consulting with clients to resolve issues relating to merit increases.
  • Contributes to the design and administration of annual incentive plans, policies, and guidelines.
  • Coordinates the annual incentive calculation and payment process.
  • Manages day-to-day relationship with assigned internal clients, including participating on special task teams, serving as compensation liaison on HR conference calls at client level, etc.
  • Counsels members of the human resources staff and/or BU/RU management to explore problems, resolve issues and/or offer solutions on matters related to compensation programs.
  • Reviews proposed salary actions to ensure conformance with established guidelines and policies.
What we ask for:
  • Higher degree
  • 2-4 years experience in the field of Compensation (potentially salary survey provider, company HR or SSC environment)
  • Fluent communication (both oral and written) in English is a must, German is a strong advantage
  • Attention to detail and knowledge of compensation theory, methods
  • Analytical with strong interest in systems and solutions
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and administer project plan activities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Above average written and verbal communications skills
